VOLKMANN has established itself as a leading supplier of products for handling, processing and conveying metal powder in additive manufacturing. Numerous systems are used by renowned users in the aerospace, automotive and medical technology sectors, among others.

Our systems are suitable for all common types of metal powder, both for SLM processes (selective laser melting, often also referred to as PBF-LB/M) and for binder jetting processes. The powder can optionally be handled in an inert protective gas atmosphere (e.g. N2 or argon).

The metal powder can optionally also be dried using a vacuum, which significantly improves the flowability of the powder, which in turn can have a positive influence on the component quality.

Well-known manufacturers of 3D printers use VOLKMANN vacuum conveyors for conveying metal powders in their machines. In close partnership with EOS GmbH (https://www.eos.info), we have developed customised systems specifically for the EOS systems, which are offered by EOS as the VOLKMANN EOS edition.
