Today more than ever, dust-free handling of solids is the focus when processing bulk materials. Occupational health and safety and hygienic requirements must be observed, and explosion protection in accordance with ATEX must be complied with. Volkmann solutions offer safety in bulk solids handling. The range of RNT product feeding stations for bagged goods has been supplemented by an empty bag compactor, which is connected dust-free to the loading chamber of the product feeding station and uses its integrated dust extraction.
The emptied containers/bags are collected in foil bags or FIBCs and mechanically compacted. Depending on the container size, the collection volume of the empty bag compactor is sufficient for approx. 40 – 100 units. The product feed station and empty bag compactor are made entirely of stainless steel and are completely manufactured in-house. Individual adaptations are gladly realised.
