Up to 120 kg of raw material must be fed into the production system from drums. The station should also be suitable for bags and big bags. A customer was looking for the right solution for this – we developed and produced it.
The construction of our new production hall is clearly taking shape. All the supports are in place, the roof beams have been installed and the shell of the solid construction in the centre has been completed.
We also manufacture filling machines for producers of metal powders. The operation of these machines is presented in a new video.
As a Soest-based company, we are proud of the history of our home town. But this year there is also something special to honour – the town is celebrating its 1,400th anniversary.
The BMW Group uses a centralised system for recovering and reprocessing metal powder after 3D printing at the Additive Manufacturing Campus in Oberschleissheim near Munich.

Maintenance work is much easier with a lifting and swivelling column: the vacuum conveyor is simply swivelled away from the tablet press, for example, and lowered.
VOLKMANN and EOS announced a scalable, closed-loop metal powder handling solution for users of the EOS M 290, EOS M 400 and EOS M 300 series additive manufacturing (AM) systems.
For the automatic unpacking and complete depowdering of build jobs after 3D printing a depowdering station was developed by VOLKMANN as part of the IDAM research project.
